Located within the suburb of Geylang, though this area is the officially designated red-light district, it does not have a sleazy image. You could see famillies and couples flocking there for its good food, fruit shops. Some of the streets transform at night with garish neon lights and red lanterns signifying houses of pleasure. Walking down the streets is as safe as any part of Singapore. This is as close as you can get to the alternative side of Singapore.
